If you're looking for a way to add MiniDisc capability to your vehicle, yet retain your existing CD or cassette setup, this could be the answer.

Add the KMD-D400 3+1 MD changer with a Kenwood changer-controlling receiver and get the most out of your double-DIN dashboard opening.

This slave unit will. allow you to load and store up to three MiniDiscs in the KMD-401, and then insert a fourth one for immediate playback. (It's not possible to play the other 3 MDs in the changer if a fourth is inserted, but once you pop it back out, the other three will be accessible.)

This MD changer must be connected to a Kenwood changer-controlling receiver - it will not operate on its own.
