Kenwood KIV-700 Digital media receiver key features

The revolutionary KIV-700 is Kenwood's first in-car receiver designed specifically for iPod and USB media lovers.

By leaving out a CD drive, the user interface can be made to operate extremely intuitively for large capacity media libraries, where ease of search is the priority.

As an extra bonus, the ability to display video from either iPod or USB devices on a front panel TFT screen is included.

iPod / iPhone music and video playback

• Quality playback of iPod / iPhone music or video files is made very easy via an USB 2.0 direct connection for full speed data transfer
• A KCA-IP301V iPod / iPhone connecting cable is included with the head unit. The cable will also charge the battery of your iPod / iPhone
• In addition, the KIV-700 can playback video from USB and internal memory. Compatible formats are MPEG4, WMV, H.264

iPod-like operation

• The grip control knob is similar to that found on an iPod / iPhone, making operation very familiar for owners
• The high-speed search bar key allows users to scroll up or down through music and video files

Search feature

• Simply press the Search Mode key to access a variety of search modes
• Direct Search enables searching by entering the first three letters of the playlists, artists, albums, songs, podcasts, genres or composers. Then turn the knob left or right to get a list of songs
• You can also use Alphabet Search, Skip Search and Related Search functions
• If you would rather work from the player itself, select Hand Mode to restore control to the iPod / iPhone

3" TFT full-colour display

• Display your iPod / iPhone album art work on the KIV-700's front panel TFT display
• Watch iPod / iPhone video files directly on the front panel monitor screen

USB hub ready

• If you have other USB file stores as well as an iPod / iPhone, simply connect an USB hub (optional accessory) to the head unit
• You will still be able to control the iPod / iPhone through the USB hub

Internal memory store

• With the KIV-700's internal memory store, favourite audio files and graphics can be transferred from a USB source and held in the head unit itself

Kenwood Music Editor Lite software

• Kenwood Music Editor Lite allows you to easily create a music file database that can be used via your KIV-700 from the music files stored in the USB device using a drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste technique
• Once the database is created, the KIV-700 can search for music files by genre / artist / album / song
• Kenwood's Music Editor Lite is available by online download

Sound Excellence DSP

• The Sound Excellence audio enhancement feature brings out music masked by road noise
• It includes a unique iPod EQ function that improves iPod sound quality by deactivating the EQ setting -allowing you to select from twenty-two EQ curves, specially optimised for iPod playback in an vehicle
